SEBASTIAN SUHARDI

Sebastian Suhardi holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK, graduating with Distinction and the highest mark in the Conservatoire. He is a recipient of the Denis Matthews Memorial Trust Award and Silver Prize winner at the Asia Piano Competition 2013, and a Licentiate of Trinity College London. In 2019, Sebastian was invited to be one of the presenters on UCSI University Piano Pedagogy Conference in Malaysia. His primary teachers include Mark Bebbington, Anthony Hewitt, and Yong Sue Yi.
His students have won awards and been admitted to top universities in the UK, Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia. A passionate advocate for holistic music education, Sebastian is a full-time piano educator based in Medan, Indonesia.
DR. CHRISTINE UTOMO

Dr. Christine Utomo holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance from USC Thornton School of Music, where she studied with Norman Krieger. She has worked with Philippe Entremont, Angela Hewitt, Malcolm Bilson, and Mikhail Voskressensky, among others. Since 2022, she serves as Associate Professor of Piano at Chengdu University, China, and has led Irama Music Studio as Artistic Director since 2007. Her teaching focuses on developing curiosity, critical thinking, and deep musical understanding.

KELLY LAURENT

Kelly Laurent holds a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours from UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, under the tutelage of Yong Sue Yi, supported by the UCSI Trust Scholarship. She is a prize winner at the Singapore International Competition and finalist at the Putra International Piano Competition.
Since 2020, Kelly has been dedicated to piano teaching and is now a full-time educator at Irama Music Studio, Medan.

JENNIFER DARMADI
Jennifer Darmadi holds a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance from NAFA Singapore and Royal College of Music London with honors, studying under Dr. Nicholas Ong and Prof. Niel Immelman. She is a recipient of the Lucien Wang Scholarship and Gold Award at the Singapore Performers' Festival and Chamber Music Competition 2014.
A frequent ABRSM High Scorers' Concert performer, Jennifer brings nine years of teaching experience in Singapore to her role as a full-time piano educator at Irama Music Studio, Medan.
WELLIN JOAN

Wellin Joan holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Piano Performance from UCSI University, Kuala Lumpur, under the tutelage of Ms. Chee Su Yen.
Her teaching philosophy centers on exploration, inquiry, and imagination — helping students uncover the meaning behind every piece of music. She believes in engaging each student personally, guiding them to grow at their own pace and discover their own musical voice
NOVRIANSYAH

Novriansyah holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from ISI Yogyakarta and is a certified Suzuki educator. Since joining Irama Music Studio in 2019, he has trained intensively in the Suzuki method under Dr. Lan Ku Chen and Hoei Tsu Chen.
Passionate about nurturing young musicians, he brings dedication and a child-centered approach to every violin lesson.

ROSALIE ELVIRA
Rosalie Elvira began her piano studies at age five in Medan and has participated in concerts, competitions, and masterclasses under Dr. Johannes Sebastian Nugroho.
She believes in cultivating genuine passion in her students — creating a learning environment where children practice with joy rather than obligation.

JOSEPHINE SIDIK
Josephine Sidik is a Teacher Assistant at Irama Music Studio, currently specializing in Music for Young Children under the mentorship of Dr. Christine Utomo. She is completing her ABRSM Grade 8 Piano under Ms. Emmy Chandra.
Born and raised in Medan, Josephine brings warmth and genuine love for children to every class. She believes that a positive, encouraging environment is the foundation of every child's musical confidence.
SYLVIA WIRYADI

Sylvia Wiryadi is an Indonesian soprano, graduate of Musikhochschule Karlsruhe and Musikhochschule Saar, Germany. She performed as a full-time opera singer in German opera houses, with roles including Pamina, Queen of the Night, and First Lady (Mozart), Gretel in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, and Theone in the world premiere of Hoffmann at Erfurt, 2012.
Returning to Indonesia, Sylvia founded Vokalogie, a music school and music theatre in Jakarta, where her students have won national and international competitions and earned scholarships for further study. She brings rare professional opera experience to her voice teaching at Irama Music Studio.
EMMY CHANDRA
Emmy Chandra holds a Diploma in Piano Performance from London College of Music (DipLCM) and has been teaching piano and music theory since 2001. She rejoined Irama Music Studio in 2022 after previously serving on the faculty from 2005 to 2013.
In 2017, Emmy began formal classical vocal studies, earning ABRSM Grade 5 Singing and subsequently ABRSM Grade 7 Singing with Distinction in 2024 — a testament to her commitment to continuous growth as a musician. She now teaches both piano and voice at Irama Music Studio, guiding students to understand and express the meaning of music at every level.


JASON KENT LEE

Jason Kent Lee is a dedicated guitar educator and performing musician at Irama Music Studio, Medan. He leads his own band alongside his teaching, bringing active performance experience into every lesson.
His approach is hands-on and encouraging — focused on helping young musicians build real skills while developing a genuine love for music.
